I am Suresh Ramani,the CEO of a Technology Solution provider "Techgyan" ( Tech for technology and gyan in Sanskrit language means knowledge).

TECHGYAN is a Technology Solutions Company which is broadly divided into 2 Divisions a) Offshore Services for International Customers  b) Networking Services  for India based Customers .

As I had announced in my earlier blog, Microsoft is launching 2 great Server products in first half of November 2008:

1) Windows Small Business Server 2008 ( upto 75 users)

2) Windows Essential Business Server 2008 ( upto 250 users)

How do you position SBS to your Customers? Do you sell it as a great  product? My guess is that selling it as a great product will not work. First do a good job of positioning it as a Complete Solution .

My list of Top 10 Benefits of SBS  would include:-                                                                                         

  1. A Push email Solution allowing users to access mails, contacts, calendars using    smart phones  
  2. A robust Email  system for single and multi location Companies
  3. A Shared Address book allowing multiple users to access a single address book
  4. A File & Print Server System allowing you to share printers, Internet access, data

Chances are that you may end up selling lot of hardware and networking to your Customer. Maybe your Partner would even share some service revenue with you . Partnering will help you to give your Customers a World Class Server Solution . Do not be afraid of Partnering . Just DO IT !
